Automotive switches generally have core components called micro switches. Micro switches have good integration, easy installation, and miniaturization, and can be widely used in automotive switches.
Car seat switches and glass lift switches are also widely used in micro switches, such as the following seat switches. The seat switch circuit is relatively simple, directly connected to the seat motor, this switch uses 3 micro switches, and the power is directly turned on or off through the micro switches.
The micro switch mainly includes a drive rod, a movable piece, and a static contact. The driving rod is a part of the switch, which transmits the force from the outside to the internal shrapnel structure, and pushes the movable contact to perform the switching action. The movable piece refers to the mechanical part of the switch contact, sometimes also called the movable spring. The movable piece contains moving contacts. The high-current switch contacts are generally silver alloys, and silver tin oxide contacts are commonly used. They have good electrical wear resistance, anti-welding resistance, and electrical conductivity, and the contact resistance is small and stable. The contact interval is the interval between the static contact and the moving contact, and the effective distance of the switch.
Similarly, each function of the general glass lift switch also corresponds to a micro switch, and the principle is the same. There are movable pieces, contact intervals, etc., with the help of external force through the driving components (pressing pins, driving rods, etc.) to act on the movable piece. , when the movable piece is displaced to the critical point, an instantaneous action occurs, so that the movable contact and the static contact at the end of the movable piece are quickly connected or disconnected. When the force on the driving part is removed, the movable piece generates a reverse action force, and when the reverse stroke of the driving component reaches the action critical point of the movable piece, the reverse action is completed instantaneously.
In the cab of a car equipped with an automatic transmission, the device that implements the shifting function is called a gear selector lever or shifter. Micro switches are located in the gear shift mechanism assembly, generally 2 to 4. Their function is to detect the position of the shifter, which is used as a signal indication.
That is, when the shifter is operated, the automated mechanical transmission control unit receives signals such as shifter, vehicle speed, etc. According to the pre-set program, a gear is selected, and the correct gear change is completed through the corresponding solenoid valve action. At this time, the micro switch will provide the transmission control unit with whether the shifter is in the corresponding position, and the vehicle's instrument screen will also display which gear and which mode the vehicle is in.
