What Are the Characteristics of the Micro Switch?

Micro switches are very common electrical components with many variations in design. Depending on their purpose and the type of conditions they will endure during their use, various characteristics must be considered.

5. IP level of micro switch

IP level Indicates the entrance protection level, which is a measure of how secure the device is from intrusion. Ratings apply to everything from body parts to specific substances like water and other chemicals. The rating system is designed to be more specific than just saying the switch is weather-proof or describing it in other vague terms.

For example, liquid intrusion protection on equipment may be specified for dripping, splashing, squirting, or spraying water. This allows designers to ensure that the devices they choose are appropriate for their operating conditions.
