In drum dryers, poor drainage or a clogged water tank can cause the water level to rise abnormally, creating a potential overflow risk. The Unionwell G5T16 basic micro switch is commonly paired with a float valve or water level sensor and mounted near the drain line or water tank.
Under normal conditions, the float does not engage the micro switch, and the circuit remains in its default state (open or closed). When the water level rises beyond the safety threshold, the float lifts and activates the switch lever. The contacts then change state instantly, sending an “abnormal water level” signal to the control board. This triggers either a shutdown or the activation of a drain pump, preventing overflow incidents.

Key Advantages:
Accurate actuation: The G5T16 responds precisely to small float movements, enabling early detection of overflow risks.
Long mechanical life: With certain models rated for tens of millions of cycles, the G5 series easily supports the long-term, high-frequency demands of dryer applications.
Reliable electrical performance: Maintains consistent signal transmission even under fluctuating loads, reducing false triggers or missed alerts.
Compact integration: Its small form factor allows easy installation in tight spaces within the water tank or drain path without impacting overall system design.
